The original print edition of Cash Box Magazine was a weekly coin-machine and music-industry
publication from July 1942 through its last issue dated November 16, 1996. The Best-Selling Singles chart, later the Cash
Box Top 100, was introduced in 1944; the Hot in Harlem jukebox chart was the first R&B chart in Cash Box, introduced
in 1946; the first Country chart in the magazine was the Hillbilly Folk & Western jukebox chart, introduced in 1947. Cash Box
added a Top Pop Albums chart in 1954.
In 2006, Cash Box was revived as the online-only Cashbox Magazine. Cashbox has occasionally issued special print
editions, and starting in November-December 2018 has published online issues covering two-month periods (changed to monthly starting in October 2022).
This archive contains transcriptions of the Pop Singles, R&B Singles, Country Singles and Pop Albums charts from the original print
edition, as well as pdf files of the complete online issues starting with the November-December 2018 issue.
